Kayla Patire was born with genetic hearing loss and fit with bilateral hearing aids at age three, and her audiologist inspired her to help other children and their families with diagnostics, amplification and counseling. Her favorite part of being a pediatric audiologist is forming connections with patients that she hopes with bolster them with confidence and understanding that their hearing loss will not hold them back from achieving their dreams.

Kayla earned her Doctor of Audiology and Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Bloomsburg University. While at Bloomsburg University, she established the school’s first cochlear implant rehabilitation program. She completed her externship at Fort Worth ENT and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology
