Dr. Bauer is widely recognized for his expertise in Pediatric Otology (Ear Surgery) and serves as the Surgical Director of the Pediatric Cochlear Implant Program at Cook Children’s in Ft. Worth, where he shares his advanced knowledge and expertise of implantable hearing devices and how he cares for children with significant hearing loss.
Dr. Bauer is board certified through the American Board of Otolaryngology. After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, Dr. Bauer transitioned to the University of Nebraska College of Medicine to complete his MD degree. He performed his residency in Head and Neck Surgery at Boston University and performed a fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology at Washington University’s St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Before co-founding ENT for Children, Dr. Bauer spent 3 years on the faculty at UT Southwestern in Dallas.
Dr. Bauer has been recognized numerous times by D Magazine as a “Best Pediatric Specialist”, has been listed as one of the “Best Doctors in America” and is a “Best Pediatric Otolaryngologist” in U.S. News and World Report. Dr. Bauer is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Society, among other memberships of prestige.
When Dr. Bauer is not treating children with incredible skill and compassion, he enjoys spending time with his wife and his four children’s families and their three grandchildren. He is active in his local church and loves to cook, camp, hike, travel and scuba dive.
